Jennifer Lutz
Hello, I’m Jennifer Lutz, I had been looking for a place to deepen my practice, expand the variety, and an environment that incorporated the philosophy and values of yoga into life. I’ve found those things at Drishtiq.
My practice started 25 years ago when I became ill from a virus that left me in excruciating pain and limited my daily life. Yoga helped to ease the pain, allowed my mind to focus, and gave me a place to honor my path despite the difficulties. I’ve taken time off yoga during the 25 years and have found I’m more in harmony when I am practicing regularly. In 2014, I began incorporating meditation and breathwork into my life which has transformed my practice both on and off the mat.
I am drawn to the Yoga philosophy of Ahimsa (Non-Violence/Non-Harm) which I find to be so powerful. To start from a place of non-harm allows all the other choices in life to become so much simpler to make. One of my core values is Kindness. I believe that being kind is one of the most generous and healing things a person can do for themselves and others.
When I’m not on my mat, you can find me reading, drinking coffee, or lifting weights at the gym. I also enjoy playing chess/card games, getting massages, having deep conversations, and traveling. I’m a mom of 2 kids (18 and 15), and I have 2 cats. In April I will begin my Teacher training and I am honored for the opportunity to study something I love.
